At seven months old, the Starlet grew bored with jet-setting around the country and decided to get in touch with her spiritual side. She was baptized July 25th along with cousin Maya Bella at the same church where her parents were married. Auntie Amy stood in as godmother and the family all got together afterwards at grandma and grandpa's house to celebrate God's two newest little Christians. Peace, love and happiness, baby!
August brought many trips to the beach to beat the heat. Charlotte loves to ride the swells in her little yellow float and work on her all over tan. In the evenings she practices piano on her "baby" grand and sings along with her new karaoke machine. The Starlet loves to go to the local library for Mother Goose story & song time where she performs alongside the regular babies.
Now eight months old, Charlotte is still inchworming around instead of crawling, but she can pull herself up and takes tentative steps around the furniture. She also pulls herself up in the crib and now greets us with a big smile. The Starlet is still quite petite at 15 lbs 11 oz. (Fatties mommy and daddy are starting to wonder if there was a mix-up at the hospital...). Dr. Bhumi says she is perfectly healthy and tells us we can't force feed the baby, but that doesn't stop her daddy from trying. Charlotte tries to feed herself but so far the only edible things she manages to get in her mouth are cheerios and the occasional blueberry.
Stay tuned for next month's posting which is sure to include some good Halloween photos. The Starlet is still weighing her costume options for the annual Roser Park Halloween Bash. Spooky or cutsie? Suggestions are welcome...
